Sup Oppo,

Been looking at Mustang GTs lately as the 2011-2013 MY have taken a massive dump and V8s with the brembo package are easily found for just over 20,000.

I live in an area that sees a pretty rough winter. I always throw snow tires on my cars, but I'm wondering—would the GT be a b*tch in the snow?

Anyone from the snowbelt who dailies a GT able to chime in?

Danke.

Got a friend who dailies a '99 GT, and he had no issues in the snow with the proper tires.

I iamgine not. I used to DD a far more insane vehicle in the snow. It's all about the tires and how you modulate the skinny pedal.

That, and dont put nut job hard racing brake pads on it. It will never get warm. enough for those to bite.

I DD a C55 AMG, with snow tires and some caution, you'll be fine.

If you get good snow tires, a Mustang would be no problem at all

I have a 2013 GT convertible that I plan to drive all winter in Cleveland Ohio. First snow the car was not drivable at all on the stock tires (10,000 miles - at least 1/2 tread left). I missed a turn that I had slowed down for by over 100 feet.

I picked up some used winter tires mounted on rims with TPS sensors off craigslist for $350 and made a huge difference. The traction control is pretty intrusive but that is good on ice.

I have already almost been rear ended because I stopped quicker then a awd SUV.
